We have been fielding dozens of calls and emails about the CARES Act SBA Paycheck Protection Program. This forgivable loan program was part of the massive CARES Act legislation that was passed by Congress, signed into law by the President, and enacted by the Federal Government with record speed. Information about various aspects of the CARES Act has been changing rapidly. As a result, information accurately written a week ago may no longer be correct. In particular, the protocol for this forgivable loan program changed under a very short timetable several times as regulations and application guidelines were developed.
