A word from our Executive Director

During our observance of Holy Week, we remembered Jesus’ final days of life on Earth. Like today, those days were filled with moments of high emotion and special significance. Holy Week and Easter may have had new meaning for you this year. We were reminded in a poignant way of life’s green pastures and valleys (in the words of the Psalmist) – the joys and celebrations of life and the anxiety and pain of life.

We are committed to serving as a reliable partner for you and your church during these difficult times. We are doing everything possible to provide you with the latest, most current information to assist you with your leadership and ministry. Feel confident that the Foundation staff is available to help guide you through financial market disruptions and maintain a focus on your missional goals. In spite of the rapidly changing environment, we remain a stable, value-aligned partner for your immediate ministry plans and your long-term vision. Visit our website for all of our COVID-19 resources, CARES Act FAQ, investment information, grants and scholarships, stewardship resources, and so much more.

We have been fielding dozens of calls and emails about the CARES Act SBA Paycheck Protection Program. This forgivable loan program was part of the massive CARES Act legislation that was passed by Congress, signed into law by the President, and enacted by the Federal Government with record speed. Information about various aspects of the CARES Act has been changing rapidly. As a result, information accurately written a week ago may no longer be correct. In particular, the protocol for this forgivable loan program changed under a very short timetable several times as regulations and application guidelines were developed. We urge you to consult the website links for the current resources and answers to frequently asked questions. If you have not done so already, please contact your commercial bank for further instructions and their specific requirements.

Peace and Blessings,
Mike O’Kelley, Executive Director
